Revisiting Some Book Bindings in Progress

Hello Dear Blog Readers! I have only two more posts until I reach number 400 and since I decided to have a giveaway with each post leading up to 400, this blog post will have a giveaway at the end of it...and if you haven't figure it out by now, each post contains a 'hint' of what will be given away at the end, so be sure to keep reading...

As I've been preparing for my upcoming book binding workshop, I've been gathering some books to bring and share as examples of traditional binding or examples of art books...some of them are my own hand bound books in various stages of assembly...

Some of you may remember the art book I created as an auction piece for City Hearts, an organization I've donated artwork to so they could use it during their annual fundraiser. After making the donation book, I played around with making different sizes, but I haven't got around to finishing them...

I'm not sure why I didn't complete them - I love the papers I used and how I used them...

But there was one book that was bound a little tightly which may be why I stopped working on them. I never made notes as I created the first book so I've been re-inventing my wheel of hand bound books that feature an exposed spine!* However, it is still a nice little book and I think it's time it found a home with someone who loves books, whether traditional or artful...

I am going to giveaway this little hand bound book that will be decorated by me using one of my bottle cap embellishments...

How can you win this unique hand bound book art book? Read on to learn how...please note that all giveaway winners for this weeks giveaways will be announced on Monday October 1st, the first day of Blogtoberfest, which is also the day of my 400th blog post! i love the exposed spine on your books!

boy...that is a really tough question. the one book i've read the most and is now falling apart is Louise Hay's book...You Can Heal Your Life. but the Help & Eat, Pray, Love is also right up there!

What neat books! My favorite book of all time has to be Harry Potter. I'm not sure which one...can I count the whole series as one? Oh, gosh, now I'm remembering The Artist's Way too...there's too many books to love. I'm not sure I can pick a favorite to be honest! I just love books! ♥
