Celebrating Independence Day - Declarations and Fireworks...

Today is officially Independence Day! I'm hoping to celebrate by watching fireworks later tonight, as fireworks are my favorite part of this holiday...

I've been sharing videos from my childhood that I used to watch on Saturday mornings. It was a great series called "Schoolhouse Rock!" and the animated shorts were made to educate kids between Saturday morning cartoons on many subjects such as history, grammar, multiplication, science and economics...

This video explains about the Declaration of Independence:

And, of course, these amazing words:

Those words are so powerful. It's easy to forget that with independence, there is responsibility that goes with it and I've got this firmly in mind as I move forward in creating a life that includes more CREATIVITY, which is my personal pursuit of happiness.

And though I truly have no idea what the future holds in store for me, I do know that I need to have CREATIVITY in my LIFE and the LIBERTY to exercise my creative skills, whether as a self-sustaining Artist or in a day job. I'll be sure to keep my personal pursuit of happiness in mind as I face the changes and choices that come my way in the future!
